Welcome to an Art World!

Hello, everyone, you are all more than welcome to the blog, which ( I strongly hope) will be useful and supporting not only for those who are particularly interested in architecture, but for everyone, from those who wish to relax surfing the internet and culturalize at the same time, to those who need an inspiring break from the daily routine. :D

I would start by introducing myself. I am a Romanian highschool student - let's say so, a future student architect in three years time :). Firstly, you may ask me: Why to become an architect? Obviously, choosing a career for a lifetime is no mean feat - but for somebody with strength and determination, this vital choice soon turns into a passion. I've been considering becoming an architect since I was 10 - well, a child's fantasies may not always sound realistic, but I haven't changed my mind and I definitely won't from now on. I've been interested in arts and drawing from the earliest years. I am thought to be talented in this field and to show great devotion in my activities - but I'm looking forward to hearing your opinion whether this is true or not...

Turning back to "the choice": architecture was not my only option. I could go for anything else, since there are a lot more working fields among my hobbies: IT, mathematics, journalism, medicine... But as far as I am concerned, architecture is by far the most appealing and rewarding - for countless reasons. The most appropriate reason, which everyone should consider when choosing a field of study is because it suits me and I'll never get bored with it.

Architecture is the literature of pencil lines, the symphony of perspectives. The everlasting utilitary art.

This one being my first post, I would like to introduce some ideas that I will later develop in the upcoming articles:
  •  As you might have seen, I chose to write this blog in English, not in Romanian, on several reasons. Firstly, I decided to mix two hobbies of utmost importance for me - English and Architecture - in order to improve both and to develop my architectural knowledge bilingually. Yes, I find blogging on this topic the most efficient way to broaden my horizons, but also to give support to anyone interested. Secondly, I really hope that this blog would appeal to both Romanian and foreign visitors, so writing in English is the best way to keep in touch and to exchange ideas.
  • Undoubtedly, it's easier to understand specialised vocabulary and to enjoy posts in your mother tongue. I intend to enclose additional articles in Romanian. My French and German not being at advanced level, I can't promise anything written in these languages at the moment.
  • I am not a professional. Should there be any inaccuracies in my work, please let me know about it!
  • I'm not going to debate on architectural issues exclusively. As I previously mentioned, I consider architecture to be a wide and interactive field involving all other arts and depending on the state of society, the way people think and the local traditions, so the articles will reach various subjects.

I think that's all for the first post. Now, let the real blogging begin. So, from this moment, I should wish you "Welcome to an Art World"!
