Hyperrealistic pencil portrait

Hello, dear readers! As you may have noticed, if you regularly had a look on this blog, the last articles were dedicated to the artworks I have been working on recently. Producing such pieces always involves a great amount of attention, dedication and long hours spend on defining every detail in order to get it to perfection. Unfortunately, the beginning of school does not more allow me to spend so much time drawing. However, I try to use every single moment of a day wisely and productively. So, what I'm going to present you today is a my latest piece - a commissioned pencil portrait, made, of course, in hyperrealistic style - the most complex drawing style, but the one that defines me most.

This artwork is in A4 size, made using pencils from 2H to 8B and charcoal and I've been spending around 20 hours on it. The evolution is displayed below - the shades may differ due to the fact that the photos were taken in different moments of the day, most of them in artificial light.

Stay tuned, because this autumn will bring new series of articles on the blog, various topics are to come, and, if the summer was mainly dedicated to art pieces, from now on we'll explore the architectural field better - these are the autumnal "Dreams of an Architect", and I wholeheartedly hope that you'll be willing to join my architectural and artistic experience! But, for now, enjoy the evolution of the portrait and let me know what you think about it! :)

This is the finished version - in reality, the background is darker and there's more contrast in the drawing on the whole. I hope you enjoyed this presentation! Further on, keep looking on the blog, more amazing artworks and architectural articles are to come! Have a nice day!
