Tudor Vladimirescu
This neighbourhood is next to Fratii Golesti, the two being separated by the train rails, which may be considered as a disadvantage for its dwellers. However, it is situated on the bank of the Arges river, so the position offers a splendid view in the summer. At the first sight, this neighbourhood seems to be tranquil and neatly-organised, with lush vegetation onto the bank of the river and plenty of trees in front of the blocks of flats, which were built during 1985-1990. All in all, the neighbourhood gives a good general impression. But for the difficult access, it would make a perfect choice for those who are longing for a living area with no heavy traffic, less pollution and noise.
Tudor Vladimirescu is also provided with a modern-designed, School No.20, which is the newest in town (the building was finished in 2004).
Craiovei
Enough closely to the centre to be called a well-situated area, this neighbourhood has a quaint charm, maybe giving the passer-by more sense of tranquility than any other in Pitesti. It has green spaces, but doesn't lag behind other neighbourhoods in terms of shops and facilities. It may be a desirable place for those searching for a sense of the past times.
Exercitiu, Popa Sapca
Centrally-located, with all the advantages resulting from the position, the style and appearance of these neighbourhoods are much different from each to another, due to the distinct period of construction. While Popa Sapca is consisting especially of personal dwellings, from old traditional houses to recently-built ones, the dwellers of Exercitiu share 4 to 6-floored blocks of flats, the flats being more spacious and modern than any others in Pitesti, except for Fratii Golesti, with which they are quite similar. The means of transport in Exercitiu are excellent, compared to Popa Sapca, where the lack of buses gives the locals two possible choices: walking or foot or taking a taxi. Anyway, both neighbourhoods are desirable for having a walk as well as living in.
Gavana, Razboieni
Situated in the suburbs, still easily-reachable from the city centre, these neighbourhoods have remained mainly unchanged since '70-'80, when they were built. The long distance from the city centre and also the lack of modern facilities are, in this case, the greatest disadvantages of living in this area.
Trivale
The considerable advantage of Trivale neighbourhood is they are closely-located to the Trivale forest, consequently, the pollution rate there is quite lower than in other parts of the town. However, it is far from the city centre and not so rich in facilities for spending your leisure time than a relaxing walk in the forest.
I simply love this article! You explain all these things so well that I cannot help being impressed! You are very good at blogging,my dear friend!
