Paula Seling - pencil portrait

Coming back to the Drawings series, today I would like to present you my latest art work - a pencil portrait of the beautiful Romanian singer Paula Seling. Not only is Paula renowned for her beauty, but she is a truly inspirational person, a reason why we can all be proud of our country.

Talent and kindness seem to be, in her case, the secrets for accomplishing success on stage as well as in the personal life. Representing Romania in numerous music festivals, Paula always makes a strong impression on the audience with her powerful, unique voice and spectacular interpretations. The passion put into her work obviously makes her stand out at every event.

This year, Paula Seling and Ovi are going to represent Romania in the 59th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest with the suggestively-entitled song: 'Miracle'. Make sure you check out their live performance at the National Selection:

Now, I should mention some details about the drawing: it is A3 in size, took around 10 hours to complete, and was made using HB pencil and charcoal.

This piece was a gift to my best friend Andreea Gheorghe on her birthday. She consideres Paula Seling to be the best role model in her life - and I couldn't agree more. Andreea is one of the best Eurovision bloggers and also the one that inspired me to start writing this blog ( I have previously mentioned this aspect in my 2013 retrospection).  Let's wish Andreea happy birthday once more!! <3
