With its intricate details and flamboyant decoration, Notre Dame de Reims is a masterpiece of French Gothic that will undoubtedly remain among your best architecture-related memories. The reason for that stays somewhere beyond what can be seen, in the same way that a drawing allows only the soul to perceive its true charm. Gothic architecture was meant to be a depiction of the human soul ascending to the divine and, after hundreds of years, they still bring us back to the same ideal.
