Welcome back, dear readers!! Have you missed the articles from the drawing series? Well, today I will share with you the evolution of my latest pencil portrait, which I made as a gift for my highschool, 'I. C. Bratianu' National College, on a special occasion: 15 January, the day of the Romanian culture and the birthday of Romania's greatest poet, Mihai Eminescu, which is the subject of my portrait.
You must have heard of Eminescu: among the most famous Romanian personalities, he is also an internationally-renowned Romantic poet. His controversial works have led to numerous studies written by scientists from all over the world. Despite the fact that his life was short (only 39 years), Eminescu left behind an impressive number of writings (especially poetry and journalistic articles, but also some stories and novels). Undoubtedly, this genius of literature is a top symbol of the Romanian culture.
As far as the portrait is concerned, it is 40x50 cm in size and the time spent drawing is around 8 hours. I used HB and 6B pencils and charcoal.
Enjoy the evolution below and let me know what you think about this piece! :)
Awsome drawing. The derails are great, and the eyes are perfect. Great present.

Deocamdata atat.Spor la treaba
